Thirty Paintings in Thirty Days Challenge January 2016

Happy New Year!

For January 2016 I will be taking part in Leslie Saeta's Thirty Paintings in Thirty Days Challenge in which artists from around the world set themselves the goal of painting a new piece every day for a month.

The challenge is about fun and engagement rather than creating a 'perfect' finished artwork each day, and this is the seventh year that Leslie has been running the challenge on her blog: 30paintingsin30days

Challenges like this are always better when you pick a theme to base your series around and I have chosen Old Dubai as mine. In addition, I will also be painting this series in oils. I'm much less experienced with oils than other forms of painting and I see this as a great opportunity to learn more about the medium.
